The shiitake has been valued for a long time in Asia as a precious gift of nature. It promotes general well-being and vitality at any age.
The shiitake has been a traditional delicacy in Japan, Korea and China for centuries. In the meantime, it has also entered European and North American cuisine. This very tasty mushroom has the “umami” taste quality, which is now recognised in modern science as the fifth sense of taste that is perceived by the tongue, alongside sweet, salty, bitter and sour. This type of taste characterises protein-rich foods in particular (e.g. meat, pulses and mushrooms). Furthermore, it has already been used in the Far East for more than 3000 years in a variety of ways and is also referred to as the "king of mushrooms". It makes a very significant contribution to a balanced diet.
The highly sought-after mushroom has been cultivated by people in Far Eastern regions for more than 1000 years. The first written mention of its cultivation goes back to the era of the Song Dynasty (10th century).
Our enterprise was one of the first in Europe to cultivate this mushroom outside of its traditional area of origin. We therefore consider ourselves very fortunate to have contributed significantly to establishing this wonderful mushroom in Germany, as pioneers of vital mushroom cultivation.
Cultivation takes place on our premises on a special shiitake wood substrate. It takes a great deal of expertise and experience to provide this sensitive mushroom with what it needs to grow.

The cultivation and processing into mushroom powder capsules takes place entirely and exclusively on our premises in Limeshain, Germany. The mature, freshly harvested mushroom is dried immediately after harvesting, using our special careful drying process, then ground into powder carefully with a water-cooled mill and filled into HPMC capsules. There is no interim storage (e.g. cold storage). Through the immediate, quick and careful processing, we ensure that all important substances it contains are preserved and that the mushroom does not lose its natural beneficial properties for human nutrition. It may contain traces of millet.
Take 1 capsule 3 times daily with enough liquid with meals. Store the product protected from light, locked up and out of reach of small children. Protect from heat and store in a dry place. Close glass well after removal. During pregnancy and breastfeeding, the doctor should generally be consulted before consumption.
