There is scarcely another mushroom that is as revered as the reishi in East Asia. It is referred to in the 2000-year-old Chinese work “Shen Long Ben Tsao” as the “mushroom of longevity” or the “growth of spiritual power”, and even classified as more precious than ginseng. The reishi has a wide range of uses in Asia. It is traditionally regarded as a tonic or, as we say today, as a natural “anti-aging substance”. In the meantime, it has been proven how exceptionally rich it is in valuable substances.
Owing to its positive effect on human well-being, the reishi also features in the art and culture of Far Eastern civilisations. The presence of the mushroom is considered a good omen.
The fruiting body of the reishi has a firm consistency. The upper side of the fruiting body has a reddish-brown, shiny and smooth surface. Hence its name “shiny polyporus”.
In order to preserve the whole wealth of substances and make them available to our customers, we also gather the valuable spores of this mushroom. These are brushed off the fruiting bodies meticulously by hand by our personnel and mixed in with the whole mushroom after the drying process. This ensures that the tiny spores are not lost during the drying process.
We cultivate the reishi on a wood substrate specially made for this mushroom. It is important that the substrate mixes, especially the wood components, are prepared in such a way that the reishi can penetrate them and then form its impressive fruiting bodies. Special attention is paid to ensuring the correct level of air humidity. Even small deviations can be very detrimental to the harvest or ruin it completely.

The cultivation and processing into mushroom powder capsules takes place entirely and exclusively on our premises in Limeshain, Germany. The mature, freshly harvested mushroom is dried immediately after harvesting, using our special careful drying process, then ground into powder carefully with a water-cooled mill and filled into HPMC capsules. There is no interim storage (e.g. cold storage). Through the immediate, quick and careful processing, we ensure that all important substances it contains are preserved and that the mushroom does not lose its natural beneficial properties for human nutrition. It may contain traces of millet.
Recommended intake:
1 capsule 3 x a day at mealtimes with plenty of liquid.
Store the product in a closed container in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight and out of the reach of children. During pregnancy and breastfeeding, a doctor should be consulted before consumption.
