The vital mushroom Reishi is one of the most famous and sought-after vital mushrooms in the world. In the past, Chinese emperors even sent out their troops to search for it, because it has the reputation of being the mushroom of eternal life.

Even today, the Reishi - also known under the names Glänzender Lackporling or Ganoderma lucidum - is highly valued.

Cultivation and processing in Germany:

We grow our organicReishi on a wood substrate specially made for this mushroom. The substrate mixtures - especially the wood components - are prepared very carefully by our employees. This allows the Reishi fungus to penetrate them optimally and then form its imposing fruiting bodies.

The fruiting body of the Reishi has a firm consistency. From its reddish-brown, shiny and smooth surface the German name "Glänzender Lackporling" is derived. Unlike most other mushrooms, the spores of Reishi are found on the upper surface. And this is also the special exception in our cultivation: At Reishi the spores are specially removed by our employees in elaborate manual work carefully with a brush from the fruit bodies and mixed again after drying. In this way, we ensure that the tiny spores are not lost during drying and that the full range of all components of the mushroom is available to our customers.

Our Reishi-vital mushroom capsules are produced according to the EC-organic regulation and are subject to the strictest quality controls. This way we can guarantee that you will always receive Reishi of the highest grade and quality!

Ingredients:

Glossy Lackporling (Ganoderma lucidum) powder (from controlled organic cultivation),
Hydroxypropylmethylcellulose (HPMC) capsules

Due to the consistency of the fruiting body of this mushroom, we do not obtain a pure free-flowing mushroom powder. The capsule contents may have a partially cottony consistency due to the natural nature of the mushroom fruiting body.

Production of our Reishi capsules:

The cultivation and processing of our Reishi mushrooms into mushroom powder capsules is done entirely and exclusively at our facility in Limeshain, Germany. The ripe, freshly harvested Reishi is dried immediately after harvest in our special, gentle drying process, gently ground into powder with a water-cooled mill and filled into HPMC capsules. There is no intermediate storage of the Reishi fruit body  (e.g. in cold storage). Due to the immediate, fast and gentle processing of the rice, we guarantee that all important ingredients are preserved and the mushroom does not lose its natural, useful properties for human nutrition.

Recommended consumption of our Reishi capsules:

3 x daily 1 capsule with Reishi organic vital mushroom powder with meals with plenty of liquid.
Store the product protected from light, closed and out of reach of small children. Protect from heat and store in a dry place. During pregnancy and breastfeeding, the doctor should generally be consulted before consumption.

Growing but conserving resources

We source raw materials such as maize and wood chips from regional suppliers for the cultivation of our organic medicinal mushrooms. This means we have short transport routes and can support local farmers and local businesses.

There are many small adjustments that can be made to make a company sustainable. For example, our production and all of the company's vehicles are powered by electricity generated by our own photovoltaic system (200 kW). We can therefore largely dispense with combustion engines. In addition, heat-loving mushrooms that thrive at high temperatures are only grown in summer. Cold-loving mushrooms are grown in the cold season to save heating and cooling energy. Two combined heat and power plants, which utilise the principle of cogeneration, ensure a higher degree of energy utilisation.
